In "Almost Heaven" the fisherman seems insignificant among the grandeur; yet he is very much part of the scene. We are humbled by nature.

"Aspen Chapel" was painted in 2001. This piece was painted after a hiking excursion to the Hope Valley in the Sierra Mountains.

There is an "N" painted on the duck in "Everett's Cottage". Thom liked to hide "N's" in his art as a tribute to his wife Nanette.
