@twschaller I've seen the crystalline light in Italy and in many other places, but to me, nowhere in this world does it have that tangible quality like in Greece. You must know that light, you captured it beautifully in these (older) paintings of Greece.
Even the air of Afghanistan has a story to tell about warfare. You can lift a piece of bread from a plate here and follow it back to the story of how the war affected the hand that pulled it out of the oven.
