Edgar Ende had a particular way of creating his artwork. He sat in his studio, for hours on end, waiting in silence for inner images to surface. Once his consciousness had emptied, vivid images would appear, which he sketched &turn into gouaches/oil paintings
M. C. Escher created four patterns using hyperbolic geometry: Circle Limit I-lV. He used for his drawings the Poincaré model for hyperbolic geometry.
