Assuming Mami is sixteen years old during the main events of the Madoka Magica anime, and assuming Madoka Magica plays in the year 2011, she would have been born in the year 1994.

Mami's last name, Tomoe, is also a the name of an japanese abstract symbol, used in family crests and it resembles a comma swirl.

Symbols have multiple tomoe swirls in a circle, with a three-tomoe pattern being often used. It is called a mitsudomoe.

Did you know that Mami's and Kyoko's color pallets were originally intended to be swapped?

According to the official guidebook, Urobuchi initially suggested for Mami to have a red color pallete and Kyoko a yellow one, this was however changed by Aoki Ume.

Mami is about 156-159cm/5"3' tall, and is the second tallest Holy Quintet member behind Sayaka!

...Hitomi however is still taller than all of them.
