Another oldie from the flat files: illustrations for the 2002 edition of Anne McCaffrey’s first Pern book, ‘Dragonflight’. This was completed right before I embarked on #Spiderwick and there are certainly some similarities in the inking style. #annemccaffrey
I’ve been organizing my art files over the last few weeks and came across this rarity: “Teferi the Wizard” from the 1998 Magic: The Gathering calendar. I believe this was the only time this image was published. Acryla gouache and airbrush on Strathmore plate finish Bristol board.
20 years ago: I was copying Norman Rockwell in preparation for my first picture book, “Jimmy Zangwow”. #normanrockwell #picturebook #moonpie
Tinsel the Christmas fairy from ‘The Broken Ornament’. My picture book won’t be out until next fall but I’ll sneak peeks as I complete images. Tinsel’s design is the result of lengthy exploration and achieved through understanding her character function and personality.
I've got images of my picture book characters to make holiday ornaments with little crafters. https://t.co/sTb5dDlzcF
More fairies scanned and ready to print for a special installation I am planning for the @NRockwellMuseum https://t.co/2v30ZLZjMJ
My panel has sold out but there are tickets available for the opening reception at the @NRockwellMuseum Details: https://t.co/rYZpBdGN7d
I've painted over a dozen new fairies for a special installation I've planned for my exhibition at the @NRockwellMuseum . More to come...
What started as a revisit to my Sprite from the D&D Monstrous Manual turned into a painting. The published piece came from a sketch in 1992.
I've got info for the opening of my retrospective at the @NRockwellMuseum on November 11th. I hope to see you there! https://t.co/Nt4ymnsTDY
