As per normal, the artstyle changes range from gorgeous to hillarious. If you've not checked out this show I would highly recommend it for how creative and experimental the art can get.
Serizawa got a lot of love this episode! And rightly so! Him redoing his education is a bold step in self-improvement, and he gets some badass scenes fighting the Yokai too!
Using business cards as weapons/shields might not be as badass as the umbrella but it's still rad
a film scene he admits isn't some grand or poignant, but it's an experience that will stick with him.
That's pretty beautiful as a sentiment
The cinema scene was really nice - it felt like something Makima legitimately cared for. That and her reassuring Denji does have a heart have been some of her more genuine feeling scenes to me.
Power seems legit really freaked out by Makima - I wouldn't be surprised if there's an ulterior motive for keeping Power's amount of blood in check
There's definitely some credence to Denji's fear now. But I'm still of the belief that death effects people differently. Katana Man might have some sympathy to zombies, but you can see why Denji wouldn't
Power lacks any sort of subtlety and I wouldn't have it any other way
Kobeni once again coming out of nowhere as an incredibly useful asset
