Watched The Flag of Iron (1980) Haven't been on twitter all #Fubruary so I've missed a lot of the Kung-Fu party but I did watch this Chang Cheh x Venom Mob collab for the first time and it was a banger! starts as a good mystery then by the end is an all out acrobatic throw down👍
Watched Mad Monkey Kung Fu (1979) absolute classic Shaw Bros joint here that sits among the Mount Rushmore of Monkey style films. Directed by and starring Lau Kar-Leung & the insanely acrobatic Hsiao Ho plus Lo Lieh & Kara Wai it's the classic Kung fu formula done to perfection👍
Watched Sleep Tight (2011) definitely one of the creepiest thrillers I've seen for a while partially due to the great if disturbing performance of Luis Tosar and direction by Spanish genre veteran Jaume Balagueró that showcases this character in the pursuit of warped happiness👍
Watched Frailty (2001) hard to believe this is Bill Paxton's only foray into directing Horror because this film is great! It feels like a really good episode of The Twilight Zone that has you guessing what's reality. Featuring a great cast including Paxton, McConaughey & Boothe👍
Watched Terrifier (2016) this film is a bit polarizing for fans but personally I really liked it Feels like a grimy gory throwback to some of the Slashers of the 80's although I found the pacing is a bit off because it starts strong but then momentum fades a bit in the 2nd half👍
Watched PussyCake aka Emesis (2022) hopefully you're not eating while watching this film 'cus there are some true gross out bits here😅It's a fun little gory Horror/Sci-Fi with a dose of black humor featuring (real?) band PussyCake going up against an inter dimensional threat👍
Watched Herbert West: Re-Animator (2017) great as Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator is you can't say it's all that faithfull to the original HP Lovecraft serial with this adaption even less so From Lovecraft enthusiast & Pupi Avati collaborator Italian low budget director Ivan Zuccon👍
Watched A Black Veil for Lisa (1968) good if IMO not great early Giallo from director Massimo Dallamano probably best known for What Have You Done To Solange? & his cinematography work. Does have moments of greatness but still has more of a Krimi feel than Giallo not bad though👍
Watched Lurking Fear (1994) I'm a simple man with simple needs if you tell me there's a 90's Full Moon Action/Horror HP Lovecraft adaption starring Jeffery Combs and Ashley Laurence I'm in! Granted it's not the greatest Lovecraft film you're gonna see but I found it to be fun👍
