Since I guess you are not supposed to have naughtiness in your profile pic, I changed it. I have a feeling Twitter will come after us eventually, but no need to poke the bear, I suppose
Look at this! So good! He’s not at all afraid to get right in there, and the robes and faces, so characteristic of Utamaro! Both shunga here are by Utamaro and are polychrome woodblock print; ink and color on paper. Date unsure, but probably around 1790
Kitagawa Utamaro was one of the most influential masters of the Edo period, and one of the few Ukiyo-e artists to achieve fame in his lifetime. He was a major influence not only in Japan, but also to 19th c. Europe. And he made such wonderful horny art! I think about this a lot
Finished up that sketch of @StephanieVXXX experimenting a bit with trying to get a subtle watercolor/hand tint look with color, but it’s still experimental. I like how the pencils came out however!
I have not found a watercolor effect on any iPad app that I truly like. This attempt is not bad though, of the spectacular @TheEmilyBloom using Autodesk Sketchbook for iPad
Here are a couple of pictures from last year, when I was still figuring out how to draw on the iPad, so they’re pretty rough. Still, there’s some promise. Of @Raelilblack drawn with Adobe Draw and Procreate (I think) on iPad
OK. I noticed that @Rae_Black69 has an awesome new video up on PH, you should check it out. I did a couple of sketches in her honor, just messing around on the iPad. I used Adobe Draw for the first and Procreate for the second.
