Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Mike and I'm a Graphic designer and Illustrator. Follow for funny animals
So there we are! I hope you enjoyed my ramblings here, I'd love to take a shot at a more rigorous skeletal diagram for one of these guys
This is the approach I took with my recons here. One based on the AMNH's mount, and another on a tall spined individual, scaled to the largest "Titanotherium" skull described by Osborn
A closer relative to Embolo would be Aktautitan, who forms a sister group to Embolo and its relatives. This animal is known from very complete individuals preserved mired, with much stockier limbs then other brontotheres, resembling hippos, Toxodon or Teleoceras
Well seeing as we're all still here on #FossilFriday, here's some vaguely organized thoughts on reconstructing the largest, latest surviving Brontotheres 🧵
@Rednaxela1821 @Orribec @JuliotheArtist @SailWorldbuilds (Also in dire need of photos in perspective of the actual Barytherium skull this is based on. Supposedly this is BMNH 6818. Its gotta be somewhere)
