Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889–1943) was one of the most multitalented artists of the XX century. She was an applied arts teacher, participant in the Dada movement, and designer of textiles, objects, murals, stained-glass windows, furniture. The most impressive artist's CV ever!

The first piece of the VARVARA series is named Varvara too, in honor of one of the most brilliant female artists of the XX century Varvara Stepanova.
