Today I discovered the "Linear Burn" layer filter. When you apply a light source and/or weak shadows they turn out very correctly. Creating a groundwork with this method is fast and easy.
But it only works in well lightened areas & you can't draw the entire art with this anyways.

Most of my characters with those crystal hearts are named after textiles. So I should rename them...
