Using his past knowledge, he became a very skilled and respected warrior and was appointed deputy at a fairly young age. He was proud to serve his clan and eagerly looked forward to getting to lead it to new heights in the future.

A couple generations later, Slatespot was born in RiverClan. At about apprentice age, he started to get memories of two past lives and he couldn't completely ignore it anymore. He thought that maybe StarClan felt sorry for him for his short lives and gave him a new chance.

Sadly, Blaze Stripe met her end at a border battle, where her opponent wouldn't stop biting her throat. She screamed and struggled until she felt nothing and lay limp on the ground. Once again, no spirit rose from her body.

As she grew up, she began to get memories of a life that wasn't hers. Of friendship with Gray Wing who she had never seen but had heard stories about. She remembered a cave in the mountains behind a waterfall, clear as day. And she remembered getting hit by a monster and dying.

When Blaze Stripe was old enough to start roaming around, she was introduced to the thunderpath and told of its dangers. The moment she saw it, her body froze and her head was filled with undescribable fear. She didn't understand her strong reaction to it but decided to stay away

Gray Wing came down from StarClan to get his friend but Poppy Stem's spirit never left his body. Utterly confused, several StarClan cats looked around, if maybe his spirit had somehow gotten lost, but never found it. Poppy Stem never arrived in StarClan nor the Dark Forest.

Poppy Stem spent his kithood playing with Gray Wing and Clear Sky. Later he grew to admire the two, especially Gray Wing, and considered him a good friend.
