I had a health-break in June (I don't remember much tbh). I was fairly active in Spring tho, when I painted this skull.
I consider it an important part of the year & I really like it so I added it! Painted on Switch

The skull was drawn on a 3DS and I think it's one of the defining paintings in Colors community.

Popoeilo is a flying umbrella (pterosaur). Posing him and others of his kind is always a joy.

Two (the first was destroyed) head models were created to aid with the beak foreshortening in various animated scenes.

The little-known fact is that Popoeilo's crest has an abnormal shape. The crest was heavily damaged during its growth stage, and that's the result.

He was based on an unnamed (then) azhdarchid fossil from Dinosaur Park Formation. The azhdarchid is now known as Cryodrakon.
