My cousin Athari's daughter who I've seen only a few times has been sending me voice messages saying “Zahra, I love you so much. My mom's daughter.” And my heart hurts each time at how sweet it is, and I write her “I love you so much too,” and then realize that I do.
So nice to sit with Ali and watch the finches today, to get a sense of Bahrain as he passed through Albuquerque with his dad.
