Let's be real, Marlo's a monkey, it just suits them more.

Red panda/fox thing is still staying around (partly because not everyone can draw monkeys lmao), shapeshifting makes sense and all that jazz, but

Neither of them were straight and they both despised that about themselves.

Remember Marlo? This is them now. Feel old yet?

The only question is how long Marlo will partake in said monkey business. Knowing them, it's likely a few days or approximately forever.
