So far, for my nightscenes I always brought a little light along. Which makes you see the painting, but also blinds you. It was suggested to me to try painting in the dark with no additional light. An experiment that made me curious :). And, this is my first result...
I met an old pine tree this weekend, and a mysterious big brown bird flew away...

Just when I finished, the sun came. This is still the subtle play of muted colors of the forest in the early morning, before the bright light kicked in...
