Cruising (1962)
The #CarryOn crew sailed into colour with a trip aboard the SS Happy Wanderer that saw a couple of cast changes.
Joan Sims is notably absent due to illness & Charles Hawtrey because he wanted top billing
Doctor Who:
Romana
Donna Noble
Brigadier Alastair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart
Hattie Jacques makes her first appearance as Matron & takes on the stern no nonsense approach with aplomb, for almost the entire film she appears to have no sense of humour but thanks to a classic scene with a daffodil, proves she loves a good joke every now & again
#CarryOn
Just like Sergeant, the comedy is offset by a set of romantic subplots including patient Terence Longdon & nurse Shirley Eaton. It also allows Kenneth Williams to be involved in a love story with Jill Ireland - something that never really crops up in the series again
#CarryOn
Nurse (1959)
The film that showed a series was possible. Once again written by Norman Hudis & directed by Gerald Thomas while featuring several of the same cast as Sergeant, this gave us a hospital setting with a cracking script & some hilarious set pieces

The Doctor - showing how social distancing & self-isolating should be done

The Undiscovered Country
The greatest #StarTrek film ever made, released to mark the 25th anniversary of the series, it is a fantastic send-off for the original crew with several already having made retirement plans - love how Scotty has bought a boat
Ahead of tomorrows #HELLOFABIRD tweet-along, decided to watch the preceding episode #FaceTheRaven
