Melissa here again. Today I’m talking about my 3rd Semester Project, ‘Visualising the Developing Brain’. I’m producing an animation using 3D models each representing a week in early brain formation. I’m working with CAHID to make this a useful learning resource for students.

Btari Widya Pradipta's project followed an experimentation of a forensic facial reconstruction of a juvenile Neanderthal known as Le Moustier 1 using Pixologic ZBrush, to find if ZBrush can be a useful tool in the field of forensic art.

Robbie Macoy's prject 'Beyond the Binary: Exploring the Pathologisation of Atypical Sex Characteristics for the Development of Intersex Resources' was created to address the lack of available intersex materials.

CAHID PhD student, Claire Fitton, has been working with biomedical engineer Dr Tim Drew (School of Medicine) to create a 3D printed ultrasound probe rig. The equipment aims to improve reliability of acquiring vessel diameter measurements in the cadaveric thigh, using ultrasound.
