I enjoy this simple dappled water bug sprite in particular.
Sprites in the Midwest appear in many varietals, but the three most common mimic insects, flowers, and pest birds. Flower sprites behave like crab spiders, concealing themselves in blooms. Barn Swallows colonize human dwellings, and insect sprites swarm in forest and stream.
