Rance is a really great series of visual novels.
The best aspect of Rance is the strong worldbuilding/lore and fun characterization.
The game has a really good sense of humor as well, even if it is quite crass.
Although the series requires high investment, the reward is massive!

Ace Attorney and Danganronpa are visual novels I’d highly recommend to starters.
They’re paced extremely well and offer highly enjoyable mysteries.
With AA having charming case-writing and characters.
DR in general is very forward thinking, really taking advantage of its medium.

Song of Saya is a strong horror title.
That although does lean into shock value at points, has some genuinely horrifying cosmic horror.
It’s also a surprisingly good romance story as well. Even if it has a very twisted concept of love.
It’s a great work I’d recommend to starters.

Muv-Luv is a fantastic trilogy of visual novels.
One that does have a slow start. Though not any less amazing in how it’s utilized to enhance the quality of Alternative.
The entire trilogy effectively utilized the VN medium to some amazing results.
A tremendous read!

Happy Birthday to Kyousuke.
One of my favorite Key characters of all time.
Elevated every scene he was a part of. Especially on my replay!
