It just hit me, but could it be that Treekyo and Riku are in a pact?
Riku knew Towa's whereabouts (!!)after the fire and how it happened. Suggested a solution for the comet. Gave the rouge. Could it be that he suggested the whole Butterfly issue as well?

In other words, if Setsuna was already perceived as dead(?) , Rin made sure that her child will roam free without anyone from other side realizing that it is actually the same child. Rin made that sacrifice to ensure Setsuna's safety. #半妖の夜叉姫 #Yashahime

Now how is Rin connected with Setsuna in her Limbo state? Did Rin made some sort of sacrifice to conceal her daughter's presence? After all, Zero's privy eyes no longer work on Setsuna, since she lacks the ability to sleep. All this sleep is transferred to Rin. #半妖の夜叉姫

My last option is Rin herself. Since i do believe Rin was present when all this happened. But did Rin do something against Sesshomaru's "wishes"? Is it possible that she acted on her own? And did she make it in time? Knowing Rin, she might have acted on her own+
