Oh joy! I am writing about one of my favorite periods in history, fin de siecle Vienna, when an extraordinary group of thinkers and artists met in salons, and changed a culture. Imagine Sigmund Freud, Egon Schiele, Gustav Mahler, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka & Arnold Schoenberg!

Palm Sunday always reminds me of the whole school getting punished for laughing at a girl exclaiming: “Jesus Christ on a stolen donkey!” in a school play. To justify punishment, Sr Elizabeth told us Jesus had an understanding with the owner so his disciples had not stolen it 😀😀
