On the topic of Hikari, her last name (Nakatsuru) is a namesake of, who'd have thunk it. Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru.

Hikari is half black/half japanese. And she's originally from New York City (Queens to be exact)....or atleast whatever the Dragon Ball equivalent to that would be.
