My headcanon voice for Mephistopheles is a d will forever will be Maurice LaMarche, who was father from Codename: Kid Next Door.

The fact that the character can be calm and then all of a sudden go into a fit of rage of Hellfire and rage. Is absolutely perfect for Mephisto.

My new idea about Mephisto is that he's a shapeshifter. Potentially blending in his surroundings. His favorite disguises are other overlords and Imps. But these two images are his main forms. The shadow form is his true based form while the other is what he's recognized as.
