Twilight was turned into a princess by the two sisters after defeating the changlings at the royal wedding. Although her special talent is general magic, her favorite is potion magic. She rules over Ponyville and is loved by her subjects.

As a teen, AJ was struck by lightning as well as the family barn, which burned to ash. Miraculously, he survived, as well as her siblings. (Granny and the parents however, did not). She spends most of her time tending to the farm with his siblings.
