@HiddenYorkshire There's always a bigger fish. Don't look up or down, just keep doing what's right for you. (I tell myself this all the time)
You may not know the name, but if you're British and you're my age, you will know his art. Ian Kennedy has passed away. Ian started at D. C. Thomson & Co. in 1949 as a trainee illustrator and was still working up to his death. RIP Ian and thanks for all those great comic covers
Another must get WWII title is Sgt Rock - The Lost Battalion by @BillyTucci
Billy writes and illustrates his books
Some of you know how much I love WWII comics. Well Sara by Garth Ennis (who guested on WW2TV) is a genuine masterpiece. Strong female characters, a revealing examination of the psychology of being a sniper and utterly brilliant artwork. Worth getting!
New Yorker Billy Tucci @BillyTucci is an illustrator and writer, who created the character of Shi and also relaunched Sgt Rock in 2008 with a series of historically accurate stories set in the Vosges mountains in WWII
