Disney and Marsu's brief partnership wasn't successful on Disney's end, but it marked one of the few times an independent creator won against a multi-million dollar company. That seems like a victory for me.

Not much left to say now but "HOUBA!"

While Marsupilami didn't get the big marketing push, he's still very much beloved in Belgium and France. Outside of new comics still being made he's had multiple new animated series, a feature film, video games and he's even getting his own theme park.
