Every so often I see promotional artwork of Gumball where he's wearing this outfit even though he never wears it in the series itself. They even did a live show where his walk-around character is in this outfit. Why though?

Is this another Blue-Shirt-Bart situation?

Honestly, I think it wouldn't make sense if Cartoon Network didn't give Gumball a movie.

Almost every long-running CN original (more than 3 seasons) has gotten one (the only one off the top of my head that hasn't is Adventure Time) and the series is still well-known and popular.
