Ward Kimball gags around with animator Retta Scott at the Three Caballeros wrap party, November 18, 1944.
A new Disney cartoon fact: While it's commonly known that the character of "Emotion" in Disney's REASON AND EMOTION (1943) is a caricature of Ward Kimball, we've never seen it mentioned that "Reason" was modeled after Disney layout artist/storyman Leo Thiele.
A photocollage for 1950. Kimball owned the stuffed lion in this pic. It allegedly belonged to the silent film comedian Harold Lloyd before Kimball got his hands on it.
More fake Kimball art in the upcoming Heritage animation auction. Be very careful buying Disney art in their auctions. MANY pieces are questionable in terms of authenticity.
There are so many Ward Kimball fakes (not to mention other Disney fakes) floating around nowadays. More fakes than actual originals in fact. And many are being sold by "reputable" auction sites. Do your homework and don't get swindled. Here's a couple more obvious fakes.
