I couldn't find any information about this book in relation to Fry's but stumbled upon some other entertaining vintage advertising material from the company including an image that I will call 'The Five Stages of Chocolate Greif".

A second edition of this book was later released with a slightly altered cover. In 2006 a third edition with all-new cover art was released and is still in print today.

Originally inspired by Clark Ashton Smith's Zothique tales, this series spawned the Dying Earth subgenre "which takes place in the far future at either the end of life on Earth or the end of time, when the laws of the universe themselves fail."
