This we're looking to another subsidiary house, Castle Bromwich Hall, which formerly had the fabulous Bradford Table Carpet of c1600-15 & which can now normally be seen at Images: V&A

A very early C20 view of the south terrace, showing the formal gardens as William Brodrick Thomas had laid them out in the latter C19. The very eagled-eyed of you might be able to spot the Coade sundial on the top terrace! The house is still rendered with stucco

Archery was a favourite sport of the Bridgeman family, with archery grounds at , and an annual contest on Nesscliffe Hill. This is Ross's miniature of the eventual 3rd Earl of Bradford & his siblings which is in the Tapestry Room

The children of the 5th Earl of Bradford - Lady Joan, Lady Diana (-who inspired our Enchanted Glen trail!), Lady Anne plus favourite teddy and Gerald, the eventual 6th Earl. The George III stool is still in the House and is one of a pair in the First Salon
