March art roundup. This month's priorities were bringing in my own colour schemes on references and simplying brush strokes to avoid overrendering. April's goal is to start a personal piece.

Calling it and moving onto something new this weekend. I enjoyed trying to manipulate the colours in the highlights and shadows to pull from the background texture on this one. Something new to learn on every piece!

It's #studybuddies night. Today we happened to tackle a reference pack I explored a bit of back in August 2020. A nice comparative exercise in looking at seven months of progress. 2 days (left, August 2020) vs 1 hr (right, today).

2020 was the year I took my first, tentative baby steps into painting. Here are the studies I'm proudest of. There was also an extended issue's worth of comic pages, but they're not for sharing yet. Looking forward to more art and projects in 2021.
