The next Target Collection books are out tomorrow but I'm speculating about the future.

We don't have much info yet but a Terrance Dicks collection is coming and I suspect will be out this time next year. Possibly followed by another Target Storybook anthology...

To that end, we get a small but welcome appearance from the Seventh Doctor and a younger Ace to contrast how the Doctor's relationship with their companion changes as much as they do. Not to mention as an excuse to explain Ace's many fates in spin-off media.
