I finished episode 1, what an amazing first episode. The characters all look and sound amazing, the sound design during battles, and the way that they transition between normal life and going straight to battle was so hard-hitting, LETS GOOOO.

I was so worried that I was gonna sleep in past noon, thank god I didn’t. Just a little bit longer until 86 airs. Seeing so many people talking about it on the TL, both LN readers and new fans, is amazing. I’m so hyped right now, it’s finally time. Hope everyone enjoys episode 1.
New chapter of Takamine-san was pretty good, got some cultured moments (as per usual), and actual progression in their relationship. Maybe we will get a spicy moment next chapter.😳
Another thing I also wanted to point out was how he changed, not only the style, but the overall feel of his drawings in order to match the tone of the story at that point in time.

A few things I wanted to note. The first being that throughout all of Ponkan8's illustrations for the series, the backgrounds look very good and have a nice balance between being realistic, but also blend well with how the characters are drawn.
Volumes 6-11 (2012 - 2015) Currently my favorite style.
- Character designs were sharper and more realistic
- Shades were more balanced (not too light or dark)
