This game was also the first time I did shiny hatching! after 255 eggs (assisted by a rolycoly at the front of my team with the right ability) I got a shiny Goomy named Buttercup :3

This region had a ton of great designs - Galarian Farfetch'd stood out to me a lot, I like it more than Sirfetch'd, personally~

The starters being so thematic to the UK inspiration was also great

gen 8 was honestly one of the smoother gens to play, battle/team building wise. I really like the global exp share bc adding a pokemon to my team is not so tedious, and having access to the PC anywhere means swapping team members out and in is far, far easier
