It doesn’t help how much of this comic ended up stealth-launching elements of the New 52, such as Element Woman, Billy Batson’s extended adopted family, the Wildstorm characters like Grifter returning, and Cyborg being an A-List hero built like a literal tank with a Wi-Fi brain
And he can still do the big action scenes quite well— in many ways better than Jim Lee, because he’s willing to distort and simplify the figures to show motion instead of making sure everything is ten billion percent crosshatched
