Bench is absolutely full of legends: villains like Absorbing Man, Abomination, Atlas, Avalanche, Arcade, Attuma, Ahab, Ares, Arnim Zola; newer heroes like Armor, Abigail Brand, Amadeus, Anole, Angela, America; and classic supporting characters like Alicia and Agatha
Talk about a shock: the UN GIVES MAGNETO Genosha!! Chuck has to psychically restrain Logan (think that’ll have some repercussions)? Magneto’s powers: on the fritz? WHEW what an ending!
@andrewfarago 90s JLA and 00s Cap came to mind; I would say the Whedon/Cassady Astonishing run but that came out so sporadically…
15. R
Rogue leads the way! I didn’t want to put Rachel under one of her various codenames (especially *shudder* Prestige) so I kept her here. The omnipresent Rick Jones also makes the cut! And one of Marvel’s most despicable villains, Red Skull, rounds out the top 4
The fact that there was a character named Vindaloo will never not be funny to me. What, was “Biryani” taken? Was “Tikka Masala” supposed to join the MLF instead? 😭😂
The bench has a great mix of Jessica Jones, Jane Foster (multiple identities so I just went with her name), Justice, Julie/Jack Power, Jocasta, Jackal, Jack of Hearts, Jigsaw, Jimmy Woo, Jolt, Joseph…and another all-time supporting character in Jarvis!
16. J
J features three all-timer X-icons in Jubilee, Juggernaut, and Jean Grey (I placed her here rather than under “M” or “P” but I guess that’s debatable?), as well as arguably the single greatest non-love interest Marvel supporting character ever in J Jonah Jameson. Whew!
Bench includes some gems throughout Marvel history: Viper, Vindicator, Vanisher, Vulcan, Valeria Richards; supporting characters like Val Cooper and Vanessa Fisk; uh, Vargas; and who doesn’t love Volstagg!
