Todays and yesterdays daily background sketches, trying out some more complicated things! Prompts were ‘something retro’ and a Viking inspired boat for snow elves

It’s been a few days since I started focusing on background related daily sketches and I’m already feeling a lot more confident! Drawing every day has definitely helped me find my passion for art improvement again

I think my February challenge is going to be a daily background related thing! I get asked a lot why I don’t draw backgrounds so it’s something I want to explore more! Here’s some I did today to get me started

I’m sorta torn about where I want to take my art style? I love/prefer simplified and highly styalised art, & my more detailed pieces take longer, are less refined in terms of style, & don’t perform as well online, so I guess I’m torn between self improvement/discovery & branding?
