#1 I'm aware chaos emeralds are necessary to perform any kind of chaos powers. But the headcanon I like is he's able to use them to a small extent, especially without his inhibitors.

#1 As much as I love to imagine young Shadow and Maria, I also like to imagine he woke up fully grown, but as blank as an empty canvas.
#2 Would be fun if Shadow didn't said a thing, until one day he suddenly talks. He was all ears to Maria 24/7.
