This #drawtober is obviously unfinished, but I think my lack of an ability to effectively texture my brushstrokes in any meaningful way is bothering me so Im going to stop here for now. Its clear to me that I need to do more brushwork practice on top of life studies. #carvings

Here's a quick and dirty start to #drawtober this year. I could have spent more time on it, but I guess I'm putting out a drawing every day anyways so it was better to have something, no matter how small, to show for the end of the day.

Just playing a bit today.

More quick face practice. If I just gave some really quick 2 value shading I could probably make these look a lot more... finished? Though it would only take like a minute. I guess its something to consider for the future.

Probably couldn't hurt to erase a lot of the old lines.

Not really sure where this one is going. I'll use a reference next time.
