@steppingdisks This was of my favorite styles to try to emulate in the project! I’d found a model head shot that I thought would work well, and the rest flowed from there. Sampling the skin tones and keeping within that desaturated palette was a fun challenge!

@sinKEVitch used great photo reference for many of his iconic images. In '91, I'd found and sketched this photo for school. When I collected New Mutants #21 as a back issue, I noticed he'd used the same reference for a panel of gossiping girls. Such a great photo. Source unknown.
