I used the image as a starting base to expand upon & learn from, while adding important features that would bring out the Pandora I envisioned.

I'm not quite done yet, but basically the face from the original image was the starting point & the rest was all me, baby. I'm proud.

A Facebook memory popped up & showed me this self portrait I did while I was an art student like 3 yrs ago.

We were learning how to use charcoal in drawing class.

I transferred it over digitally so I could play w/ it in Photoshop.

It's one of my favorite self portraits.

I'm going to attempt to do one drawing a day. Starting with the one I posted yesterday. Nothing spectacular, just quick, messy, drawings to keep me from going into another art block.

Today's drawing is of Susie as Mother Suspiria from Suspiria. I love this movie, it's a trip!

Facebook reminded me that I finished and posted this 2 years ago to the day. 2/26/20: 18x24 self-portrait done w/ charcoal and then played with in Photoshop afterwards. Boy, was it messy.
