Even in Futari ofc, Precure as a concept was an old legend at least to certain characters in the verse, but right from ep2 of SplashStar it already feels less like they're talking about in-universe lore & more a nod 2the audience that have seen th previous (2) shows

Mah. 20 episodes by airing order ep8 of s2, and 17 episodes chronologically is a pretty good length for a running gag.

I do like how committed Hidamari is to the bit where Yuno and the landlord have never met or seen each other. This is a tad absurd though.
