D'know if I'm getting emotional. These are the “Naval Reviews" of 2024 and 2016. I don't know if I am being too slow on my pace, or if I was getting a "Well Done". The problem is that I will not be able to finish my 3rd Cruisebook in 2025--the anniversary of WW2 victory.

Aside from the famous Willie D Porter, there is another Porter who was unlucky enough to be sunk by a downed aircraft--the USS Porter DD-356--it's even worst since it was a friendly aircraft she was to save.
Why are things about Porter always so bad?

As time goes on to 1945, she had been suffering from her "incident" for over 1 year. She was trying to make things right, but the aftermath of the event still haunts her.

I'm so sorry for being so slow on WDP. I finished a 80 page video for Leyte, and another commission of a tank object 292. Now I'm reading a few books about the battle of Phillippine Islands (1944.6+1944.10), and I've been thinking a lot about TF38/58 too...
