New workflow—I rendered my figures first and colorized them afterward. 👾🎨🤙

I would’ve typically called it good at image #3, but some research on ambient and directional lighting took me down an awesome rabbit hole. Image #4 feels more like the figures are IN the environment.

Here’s a closer look! 👀

This time instead of one cell-shaded pass at rendering, I went with a soft airbrush on the broader figure followed by 2 cell-shaded layers—one for large forms and one for smaller details. This is for both shadows and highlights.
