Love the adaptation of Tsuchika Nishimura's designs for The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store's upcoming film. The animation is adding just enough elasticity to art that, despite how angular it is, already implied (and sometimes directly showed) fun movement. Also it's cute

The one visual choice that didn't seem cut from the same cloth was the character designs themselves. They do fit nicely in a nostalgic picture like that, but if anything they just felt extremely inspired by the work of Fumiko Takano - the shapes of the faces especially so

Profiles and 3/4 shots sure feel Tokuyama-like in particular

Ayaho Harashima's illustrations for Chuten are stunning and KyoAni sure are pushing her name a lot for a newbie, really does seem like expectations are high for her

Ryosuke Maruo and Nozomi Matsuo made their key animation debut (the latter after she'd already done some cleanup on the final Free movie) today in Tsurune S2 #03, unsurprisingly so since they were two more newbies who immediately stood out
