Kong on the Planet of the Apes is such a brilliant premise and it's somehow a better sequel to the original Apes film than most of the actual sequels. Fun read.
The Dark Horse Gamera comics feature a mad scientist who mindmelds with Viras, a jive-talkin' alien, the most ridiculous dialogue ever committed to paper, and on top of all that it's supposed to be a sequel to Guardian of the Universe.
Shocked it only lasted four issues.
I find it kinda interesting how most western Godzilla adaptations rarely set scenes in Japan. It makes sense, nearly every Goji film has him attacking Japan, so the creators wanting a change in national setting is understandable. They're all about globetrotting.
The hat was supposed to be a sort of tongue-in-cheek self-deprecation thing referencing an infamous apparel item that became a photoshop meme (and was an older pfp). 18-year-old Goldn thought it was funny, but I've grown wiser and know it can potentially be offensive. Apologies.
In a really embarrassing revelation, I just discovered that art I commissioned, for who would eventually become Stephy, was actually finished way back in Dec 2019.
They were nice and gave it awesome shading and everything too! Apologies to @MAKKUN_arts for my inattentiveness 😭
A coping mechanism I used when KOTM came out was realizing the Godzilla films I like still exist and I should value those instead of dwelling on the new really bad one.
A lotta people seem to be getting that blackpill with GvK. You have my sympathies, I was there once too.
