In 2010 a comic called streets of Gotham, Features a character use a slur towards Zatanna that comes from a romani background, this word is often used in a derogatory way against powerful women. This does not make Zatanna Romani.

Honestly DC is really missing out with what they got with Zatanna. She could easily become so popular and marketable especially today.

That goes for other many many DC characters that DC doesn’t invest in.

Just found out we could’ve had a Zatanna comic by Joelle Jones and Michael W Conrad. And now I’m sad.

Zatanna’s last name Zatara is changed to Starr in the new Zatanna: The Jewel of Gravesend novel.

It will be release on July 26.
