If there's one anime that I wish that I could experience again for the first time it's gotta be Kaiji. It's such a rush to watch. It's tense like nothing I've ever seen since or before.

But at the same time, I don't know if my heart could take all of that stress all over again.

I think Haru is amazing. She's a small herbivore in a world where much larger and stronger animals initially want to devour her. Yet she's strong and kind, even when she's not really in a position to be at all. That's inspiring and beautiful.

Heinrich Lunge. First of all that hand tic is plain cool. I love the journey his character goes through. Lunge isn’t an emotional man, so watching his slow and subtle change is so rewarding. Being blinded by your own sense of justice will always be fascinating to me.

Legato Bluesummers. This character made me realize I was attracted to men. He's a man consumed by nihilism and hatred for mankind. Dedicating his worthless life to making Vash suffer. His loyalty to Knives is just pure insanity. Toshihiko Seki's voice is too damn sexy as well.

Itou Kaiji is one of my all-time favorite characters. The frustration he feels toward every aspect of his life really resonated with me the first time I watched Kaiji. I felt just as lost as he did. At first I felt depressed, it was like watching myself.
