The whole mural theory with Gerald taking inspiration from Super Sonic to create Shadow sounds cool but it’s most likely because SEGA just wanted Shadow’s quills to resemble Vegeta’s hair. Let’s be honest lol

Another example is Belle. Creative potential is there, her and Mr. Tinker are supposed to contrast Eggman and Metal Sonic. Cool concept, you wouldn’t even expect an idea like her.

But she feels so void of interest, thrown in, etc. There’s just not much to her.
